Latin American Legion Post honors Puerto Rico Medal of Honor Recipients

The American Legion Latin American Post 840 will hold its annual Memorial Day Weekend Service at the Puerto Rico Area of the Medal of Honor Grove, located on the campus of Freedoms Foundation at Valley Forge, 1601 Valley Forge Road, Phoenixville, PA 19481. The service, scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 27, is open to the public.

The Puerto Rico Area of the Grove was dedicated 41 years ago. Read more

The Arts & Community Network, Announces 3rd Annual Gala Fundraiser May 31st, 2018

On Thursday May 31, 2018 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM ArCoNet is hosting its 3rd Annual fundraising gala.  The event will be held at The Holiday Inn, 1750 Sumneytown Pike, Kulpsville/Lansdale, PA.  The event will feature keynote speaker, Pennsylvania State Senator and musician, Bob Mensch.  A very special guest will be recognized for their exceptional dedication to ArCoNet and the community followed by live auctioneer Tony Luna of Pearl S. Buck International and the dynamic Alberto Pagan from the Puerto Rican plena group Bomplé.  Beautiful and unique objects and experiences will be offered through both live and silent auctions.   
 
The ArCoNet 3rd annual Gala provides funding for weekly music instruction at the ACLAMO Family Center in Norristown, PA, the Kensington Library in Philadelphia, and the PEAK Center in Lansdale, PA.  These programs benefit the next generation of diverse musicians, disadvantaged youth, elderly enrichment, and female supported programs in underserved areas of our community.

Liam Payne and J Balvin are already familiar to millions. They reached many more with their appearance overnight on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.    

The former One Direction singer teamed up with the Colombian reggaeton star for a performance of “Familiar” on a stage which wouldn’t be out of place in Tron.
