1 John 2:16 “For all that is in the world; the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life; is not of the Father but is of the world.” This is a time when you can make headway in overcoming the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, but you must discipline your body and bring it into subjection to the Spirit. Do not allow your flesh to rule. Make a covenant with your eyes and with your appetites that you will not look beyond what is modest, decent and moderate. And, I hear you say, but I have tried and I am unable. Let the weak say, I am strong. Depend upon My strength in moments of weakness, and let this dependence become a way of life, for surely I am able to bring you through to great victory. Refuse to allow past defeats to discourage your present progress. This is a new day.
