The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce acknowledges the recent natural disasters that have struck Puerto Rico, southern U.S.A., the Caribbean, and Mexico.

We hope that our members, their friends, and families

are safe and want you to know that our board and staff are committed to the support of our community

during these challenging times.

In Philadelphia

In Philadelphia, the Latino community has organized under the campaign #UnidosPa’PR, a campaign to raise money to support humanitarian aid for Puerto Rico. You can read more about it in this Al Dia article.

Before donating to a cause, here are some points to keep in mind:

Do your own research before giving to any group.
Groups with strong local ties to their community can sometimes be the best option.
You have a right to demand accountability of the groups you give to.
