Define and maintain concise boundaries so that you do not take responsibility that is not legitimately yours.  And, conversely, do not try to transfer your rightful responsibility to someone else.  Your God-given authority is directly linked to responsibility, and you would do well to stay within the lines of your jurisdiction, says the Lord.  Hosea 14:9  Who is wise? Let him understand these things. Who is prudent? Let him know them. For the ways of the LORD are right; the righteous walk in them, but transgressors stumble in them.
