State Farm  Community Hero

El Zol 1340 AM wants to give our listeners an opportunity to celebrate the heroes of our community.  We will select a hero every week. One of our talented disk jockeys will tape a segment with the hero and feature the hero and the organization on a segment aired on the Mediodia con Milca Madera show and on El Ritmo de la Comunidad.  Each weekly hero will be eligible to be selected as hero of the month, receive a certificate, and also an El Zol Philly gift bag.  Heroes of the month will be finalists and eligible to be selected as hero of the year and be the recipient of a daylong radiothon where we will raise money for the sponsoring organization at the end of 2012.

 

Who can be nominated as an State Farm  Community Hero?

The public nominates our heroes.

We encourage you to nominate heroes from all walks of life—the neighbor running nonprofit bake sales, a volunteer who serves the elderly at a local retirement home, a teacher building a school for the underserved, the community organizer bringing people together, a student who accomplishes.

Nominees must be residents of the United States or Canada and be 13 years of age or older. Employees of Aztec Capital Partners, Inc., El Zol Media and its affiliates cannot be nominated, nor can elected government officials or candidates for government elections.
