Women’s History Month is in full swing, and with International Women’s Day approaching on Friday, Spotify revealed the most popular female artists on its platform. As a way to celebrate strong female voices across all audio, the music app highlighted 20 of the most-streamed female artists in the world, based on streams from Jan. 1 to March 1, 2019.
Ariana Grande tops the global list, with more than 56 million monthly listeners. She’s followed by Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Halsey and Dua Lipa in the top five.
A group of Latin artists also made the list, including Dominican-American rapper Cardi B at No. 8; Selena Gomez, who is of Mexican descent, at No. 9; Colombian urban star Karol G at No. 13; Cuban-American pop star Camila Cabello at No. 14; and Mexican-American singer Becky G at No. 16.
